Workplace Highlights in Los Angeles
The Los Angeles region added about 33,500 jobs in July 2025, translating to roughly a 0.7 % year‑over‑year gain, while the unemployment rate held at about 6.4 %. Entry‑level hiring is weak, especially for recent graduates: only about 30 % of 2025 graduates and 41 % of 2024 graduates found jobs in their field, as changes driven by automation and AI weigh on the market.
